Dollar Index Update : 07 Feb 2022

The U.S.Dollar Index  is trading at 95.58 up with +0.10% percent or +0.10 point.The Dow Futures is trading at 35,013.70 with a loss of -0.22% percent or -76.00 point.The S&P 500 Futures is  trading at 4,490.20 with a loss of -0.23% percent or -10.30 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 14,671.00 with a loss of -0.16% percent or -23.40 point.




The euro was near Friday’s three-week high on Monday morning, after the European Central Bank’s hawkish turn last week, but analysts said further short-term gains looked less likely with looming Fed tightening supporting the dollar.

Meanwhile, in cryptocurrency markets, Bitcoin held around a two week high.

Investors this week will be watching for U.S. inflation data due Thursday, with a strong reading cementing expectations that the Fed will raise rates at its March meeting and hint at the possibility of a large 50 basis point rise.



For the day the Dow is trading at 35,089.74  with a loss of –0.061%percent or –21.42 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 4,500.53 up with +0.52% percent or +23.09 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 14,098.01 up with +1.58% percent or +219.19   point.




Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 2,002.36 up with +0.57% percent or +11.33 point. the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 1,283.62 up with +0.010% percent or +0.13  point. the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 2,623.18 up with +0.16% percent or +4.32 point. the S&P 100 Index closed at 2,081.87 up with +0.80% percent or  +16.46  point.the Russell 3000 Index closed at 2,610.66 up with +0.64% percent or +16.56 point. the Russell 1000 Index closed at 2,485.21 up with +0.64% or +15.87 point.
