Dollar Index Update : 01 Feb 2022

The U.S.Dollar Index  is trading at 96.375 with a loss of  -0.170% percent or -0.162 point.The Dow Futures is trading at 35,051.00 with a loss of  -0.23% percent or -80.90 point.The S&P 500 Futures is  trading at 4,503.60 with a loss of -0.26% percent or -26.11 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 14,910.60 with a loss of  -0.13% percent or -19.50 point.




The U.S. dollar fell on Monday, posting its largest daily fall since last November as investors consolidated gains after hitting a 1-1/2-year high on Friday on expectations of a faster pace of rate hikes by the Federal Reserve.

With the Fed clearly signalling last week that it intends to raise interest rates as early as the March 15-16 policy meeting, Wall Street banks are now expecting are now expecting about five to seven rate hikes this year.



For the day the Dow is trading at 34,715.39  with a loss of –0.89%percent or –313.26  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 4,482.73 with a loss of –1.10% percent or –50.03  point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 14,154.02 with a loss of –1.30% percent or –186.23   point.




Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 2,028.45 up with  +3.05% percent or +59.94 point. the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 1,299.23 up with +2.15% percent or +27.37 point. the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 2,635.38 up with +2.21% percent or +57.07 point. the S&P 100 Index closed at 2,092.61 up with 1.92% percent or  +39.46  point.the Russell 3000 Index closed at 2,621.97 with 2.15% percent or +55.19 point. the Russell 1000 Index closed at 2,494.64 up with +2.09% or +51.17 point.
