Dollar Index Update : 12 April 2022

The U.S.Dollar Index  is trading at 100.17 up with +0.23% percent or +0.23 point.The Dow Futures is trading at 34,133.40 with a loss of -0.51% percent or -174.70 point.The S&P 500 Futures is  trading at 4,395.00  with a loss of -0.40% percent or -17.50 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 13,939.70 with a loss of -0.36% percent or -50.50 point.




The dollar index was back above 100 on Tuesday morning, supported by high U.S. yields ahead of inflation data that is expected to show U.S. prices gained the most in over 16 years, reinforcing expectations of aggressive Fed tightening policy.




For the day the Dow is trading at 34,308.08 with 0.40% percent or +137.55 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 4,412.53 with a loss of –1.69% percent or ?75.75 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 13,411.96 with a loss of –2.18% percent or –299.04   point.




Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed a 1,980.32 with a loss of –0.71% percent or  -14.24 point. the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 1,265.02 with a loss of –0.61% percent or −−7.82 point. the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 2,605.74 with a loss of –0.43% percent or −11.35 point. the S&P 100 Index closed at 2,017.30 with a loss of –1.91% percent or  −39.35  point.the Russell 3000 Index closed at 2,557.44  with a loss of –1.53% percent or –39.74  point. the Russell 1000 Index closed at 2,433.12 with a loss of –1.58% or −39.08 point.
