Dollar Index Update as on 04 June 2020

The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 97.50 up with +0.23% percent or +0.22 point.The Dow Futures is trading at 26,094.00 with a loss -0.51% percent or -134.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 3,102.00  with a loss of -0.51% percent or -15.75 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 9,666.00 with a loss of -0.19% percent or -18.75 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

he dollar strengthened on Thursday, reversing its weakening trend of the past seven days, while the euro slipped ahead of a European Central Bank meeting at which policymakers could step up stimulus measures.

The ECB is expected to increase the size of its 750 billion euro ($840 billion) Pandemic Emergency Purchase Programme to support Europe’s weakest economies – although some investors think this will happen at July’s meeting rather than today.

For the day the Dow is trading at 26,269.89 up with +2.05% percent or +527.24 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,122.87  up with 1.36% percent or +42.05 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 9,682.91 up with +0.78% percent or +74.54 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,452.09 up with +2.39% percent or +33.88 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 849.27 up with +3.54% percent or +29.01 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,849.61 up with +2.72% percent or +48.99 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,418.33 up with +1.06% percent or +14.91 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,822.18 up with 1.50% percent or +26.93  point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,729.66 with +1.44% or +24.63 point.
