The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 97.43 with a loss of -0.25% percent or -0.24 point.The Dow Futures is trading at 25,884.00 up with +0.71% percent or +183.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 3,091.38 up with +0.47% percent or +14.38 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 9,678.38 up with +0.32% percent or +30.63 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The dollar fell against most Asian currencies on Wednesday as prospects of more government stimulus and a global economic recovery emboldened investors to step up holdings of riskier assets.

The Australian dollar surged to a five-month high against the dollar, as funds headed toward economies that are seen to be recovering the fastest from the coronavirus pandemic.

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,742.65 up with +1.05% percent or +267.63 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,080.82  up with +0.82% percent or +25.09 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 9,608.38 up with +0.59% percent or +56.33 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,418.21 up with +0.91% percent or +12.84 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 820.26 up with +1.14% percent or +9.26 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,800.62 up with +0.93% percent or +16.58 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,403.42 up with +0.75% percent or +10.47 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,795.25 up with +0.83% percent or +14.73 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,705.03 up with +0.82% or +13.89 point.
