The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 95.17  with a loss of -0.82% percent or -0.78  point.The Dow Futures is trading at 24,533.00  with a loss of -4.87% percent or -1,256.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,817.00 with a loss of -4.96% percent or –147.00 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 8,093.12 with a loss of -4.82% percent or –410.13 point.


The dollar index, which measures the greenback’s strength against a basket of six other major currencies, was about 0.8% lower at 95.883, its lowest in about a year. For the week, the index was down 2.4%, its worst weekly performance since early February 2016.

“Another day of dollar underperformance, which has been concurrent with a precipitous tumble in U.S. Treasury yields,” Jonathan Coughtrey, managing director at Action Economics, said in a note.


For the day the Dow is trading at 25,864.78  with a loss of –0.98% percent or –256.50  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,972.37 with a loss of –1.71% percent or –51.57 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,530.34  with a loss of –1.63% percent or –141.32  point.
