Dollar Index Update as on 05 Feb 2020

The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 98.07  up with +0.11% percent or +0.11 point.The Dow Futures is trading at 29,029.00 up with +0.83% percent or +240.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 3,324.88 up with +0.77% percent or +25.38 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 9,442.75  up with +0.94% percent or +87.75 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The dollar climbed towards a recent two-month high on Wednesday on the back of firmer Asian markets and expectations Beijing will manage to limit the spread of a deadly virus, though the yen’s strength indicated broader sentiment remained cautious.

Against a basket of its rivals, the dollar rose 0.1% to 98.02, advancing for a third consecutive day, and within striking distance of a two-month high of 98.19 hit last week.

For the day the Dow is trading at 28,807.63 up with +1.44% percent or +407.82  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,297.59 up with +1.50% percent or +48.67 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 9,467.97 up with +2.10% percent or +194.57 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,656.77 up with +1.50%  percent or +24.56 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 1,001.12  up with +1.24% percent or +12.29 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 2,055.70  up with +1.34% percent or +27.09 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,479.79 up with +1.53% percent or +22.25 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,933.08 up with +1.55% percent or +29.45 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,826.28 up with +1.55% or +27.87 point.
