Dollar Index Update on 26 March 2019

The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 96.49  with a loss of -0.15% percent or -0.15 point. The Dow Futures is trading at 25,708.00 up with +0.51% percent or +131.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,819.62  up with +0.45% percent or +12.62 point.  The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,385.62  up with +0.41%  percent or +30.37 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The dollar rebounded modestly against the yen on Tuesday as Treasury yields pulled back from 15-month lows as investors reassessed the risks of a sharper downturn in the global economy.

The pound stuck to a narrow range with British lawmakers scheduled to vote on a range of Brexit options later in the day.

Global markets recoiled on Monday in the wake of an inversion in the U.S.Treasury yield curve, which has signalled a recession in the past.

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,516.83  up with +0.057% percent or +14.51 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,798.36 with a loss of -0.084% percent or -2.35 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,637.54 with a loss of -0.067% percent or -5.13 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,512.86  up with +0.46% percent or +6.94 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 922.32 up with +0.46% percent or +4.23 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,858.22  up with +0.17%percent or +3.23 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,237.23 with a loss of -0.15% percent or -1.86 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,648.15  with a loss of -0.055% percent or -0.90 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,549.50  with a loss of -0.094% percent or -1.46 point.
