Dollar Index Update on 08 December 2017

US PRE MARKET

The US Dollar Index are trading at 93.98 for up with +0.25% percent or +0.23 point. The cac 40 index are trading at 5,420.14 for up with +0.68% percent or +36.82 point . The DAX Index are trading at 13,223.51 for up with +1.36% percent or +178.36 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Index are trading at 3,610.07 for up with +1.04% percent or +37.08 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The dollar rose to a two-week high against a basket of currencies on Thursday, recovering losses against the yen, on stronger risk appetite across markets and on optimism the United States will successfully push through a tax reform program.

The greenback slipped against the safe-haven yen on Wednesday after U.S. President Donald Trump said he would recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a move that imperiled Middle East peace efforts and provoked widespread condemnation.

PREVIOUS DAY ACTIVITY

U.S. market were higher on Thursday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 24,211.48 for up with +0.29% percent or +70.57 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,636.98 for up with +0.29% percent or +7.71 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,812.84 for up with +0.54% percent or +36.47 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,520.47 for up with +1,520.47 percent or +11.59 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 928.53 for up with +0.56% percent or +5.19 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,883.50 for up with +0.66% percent or +12.40 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,164.60 for up with +0.18% percent or +2.09 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,561.34 for up with +0.37% percent or +5.83 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,461.30 for up with +0.34% percent or +5.00 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 24,211.48 for up with +0.29% percent or +70.57 point.
