US PRE MARKET

The US Dollar Index are trading at 96.24 with a loss of -0.26% percent or -0.24 point . The cac 40 index are trading at 5,239.28 with a loss of –0.37% percent or -19.30 point . The DAX Index are trading at 12,606.74 with a loss of –0.51% percent or –64.28 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Index are trading at 3,522.72 with a loss of –0.44% percent or -15.60 point.

TODAY’s FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a mixed open on Wednesday, as investors turned their attention to upcoming data releases, while keeping a watchful eye on moves in the tech and oil sectors.

Nasdaq futures dropped about half a percent, as large-cap tech stocks like Facebook and Apple traded lower in the premarket. Dow and S&P futures, meanwhile, both gained about 0.1 percent.

Tech stocks were under pressure Tuesday after EU regulators hit Google with a 2.4 billion euro ($2.7 billion) fine, stating that the tech giant had violated antitrust rules when it came to its online shopping practices.

 On the data front, mortgage applications fell 6 percent last week. International trade in goods data are also due at 8:30 a.m. ET, and pending home sales at 10 a.m. ET.

The S&P 500 closed at 2,419.38  with a loss of –0.81% percent or –19.69 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,146.62 with a loss of –1.61% percent or –100.53 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,403.52  with a loss of -0.93% percent or -13.12 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 847.58  with a loss of  –0.80% percent or –6.86 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,736.58   with a loss of –0.81% percent or –14.17 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,066.36 with a loss of –0.83% percent or –8.90 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,433.44 with a loss of -0.84% percent or -12.08 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,341.03 with a loss of -0.83% percent or -11.20 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 21,310.66  with a loss of  –0.46% percent or –98.89 point.
