The U.S.Dollar Index  is trading at  90.28 with a loss of -0.09% percent or -0.08 point.The Dow Futures is trading at 31,076.00 up with +0.38% percent or +117.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 3,809.84 up with +0.23% percent or ++8.65 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 12,952.80 with a loss of -0.15% percent or -19.50 point.


The dollar extended its rebound from near three-year lows versus major peers on Thursday, supported by higher U.S. yields, as President-elect Joe Biden prepared to outline his plans for massive fiscal stimulus.

The dollar index held onto gains made on Wednesday in early Asian trading as investors continued to unwind bearish bets. The dollar has risen in four of the past five trading sessions as the prospect of more stimulus has weighed on U.S. government bonds, sending the benchmark Treasury yield above 1% for the first time since March.


For the day the Dow is trading at 31,060.47 with a loss of –percent or  -8.22 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,809.84 up with + percent or +8.65 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 13,128.95 up with + percent or +56.52 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 2,111.97 with a loss of -0.75% percent or -15.99 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 1,205.16 with a loss of -0.85% percent or  -10.30 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 2,426.08  with a loss of – percent or −22.80 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,739.67 up with + percent or  +9.47 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 2,295.14  up with  percent or +2.14 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 2,157.79 up with +or +3.34 point
