Dollar Index Update as on 03 April 2020

The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 100.64 up with 0.46% percent or +0.46 point.The Dow Futures is trading at 21,069.00 with a loss of -0.96% percent or -204.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,493.88 with a loss of -0.90% percent or -22.62 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,557.00 with a loss of -0.92% percent or -70.25 point.


The dollar resumed its climb versus major currencies on Friday as investors once again made safety bids, amid worsening economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.

The greenback index is on course for a near 2.5% gain over the week, after it whipsawed last month from highs on a scramble for cash, before slumping as the U.S. Federal Reserve flooded the market with liquidity.


For the day the Dow is trading at 21,413.44 up with 2.24% percent or +469.93 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,526.90 up with +2.28% percent or  +56.40 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,487.31 up with +1.72% percent or +126.73 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,085.81  up with +1.29% percent or +13.81  point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 645.29  up with +1.51% percent or +9.63 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,375.35  up with +1.04% percent or +14.14 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,168.51  up with +2.56% percent or +29.20 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,449.52 up with +2.06% percent or +29.25 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,381.14  up with +2.11% or +28.48 point.
