Dollar Index Update as on 14 october 2019

The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 98.44 up with  +0.14% percent or +0.13  point. The Dow Futures is trading at 26,690.00 with a loss of -0.32% percent or -85.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,960.88  with a loss of -0.33% percent or -9.87 point.  The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,826.50 with a loss of  -0.41% percent or -32.50 point.


The Australian dollar and China’s yuan, often seen as barometers of investor risk appetite, rose on Friday on hopes of progress in U.S.-China trade talks, while optimistic comments from Ireland on Brexit boosted the British pound.

Top U.S. and Chinese negotiators wrapped up their first day of trade talks on Thursday, with U.S. President Donald Trump welcoming what he called a “very, very good negotiation with China”.


For the day the Dow is trading at 26,816.59 up with +1.21% percent or +319.92  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,970.27 up with +1.09% percent or +32.14 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,057.04  up with +1.34% percent or +106.26 point.


Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,511.90 up with +1.79% percent or +26.54 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 935.60 up with +1.88% percent or +17.24 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,916.57 up with +1.72% percent or +32.40 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,315.77 up with +1.03% percent or +13.36 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,738.62 up with +1.18%  percent or  +20.25  point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,640.93  up with +1.14%  or +18.44 point.
