Dollar Index Update as on 27 September 2019

The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 99.16 up with +0.03%  percent or +0.03 point. The Dow Futures is trading at 26,955.50 up with +0.24% percent or +63.50 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,990.62 up with +0.34% percent or +10.12 point.  The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,810.50 up with +0.30% percent or +23.25 point.


The euro held at its lowest level in more than two years on Friday as quarter-end rebalancing flows boosted demand for the dollar, with investors unfazed by the latest political news out of the United States.

The euro fell 0.1% lower to $1.0904, its lowest level since May 2017. Against a basket of its rivals, the greenback pushed 0.1% higher to 99.27, its highest level in more than three weeks.


For the day the Dow is trading at 26,891.12 with a loss of  –0.30% percent or –79.59  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,977.62  with a loss of  -0.24% percent or  -7.25 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,030.66  with a loss of -0.58% percent or  -46.72 point.


Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,533.33 with a loss of   –  percent or17.33 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 952.48  with a loss of – percent or –10.28 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,936.97 with a loss of – percent or –10.46 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,313.96 with a loss of  – percent or –4.66 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,744.53 with a loss of  – percent or 5.66 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,645.28  with a loss of – or 4.41 point.
