Dollar Index Update on 11 March 2019

The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 97.37 with a loss of -0.01% percent or  -0.01 point. The Dow Futures is trading at 25,362.50  with a loss of -0.65% percent or -165.50 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,754.62  up with +0.10% percent or +2.62 point.  The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 7,070.00 up with +0.23%  percent or +14.63 point.


The dollar edged up on Monday, hovering close to a near three-month high as investors continued to favor the greenback amid global growth concerns, while sterling kept declining on uncertainty over Britain’s exit from the European Union.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against a basket of six key rivals, gained 0.1 percent to 97.412.

The index was 0.3 percent shy of its recent peak of 97.710 hit last Thursday, its highest since Dec. 14. It is up 1.3 percent this year.


For the day the Dow is trading at 25,450.24 with a loss of -0.090% percent or -22.99 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,743.07 with a loss of -0.21% percent or -5.86 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,408.14  with a loss of -0.18% percent or -13.32 point.


Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,521.88 with a loss of -0.11% percent or -1.74 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 934.18 with a loss of -0.17% percent or -1.55 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,860.28  with a loss of -0.28% percent or -5.26 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,211.04   with a loss of -0.15% percent or -1.84 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,620.70 with a loss of -0.21% percent or -3.36 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,521.03 with a loss of -0.21% percent or -3.26 point.
