The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 96.36 with a loss of -0.23% percent or -0.22 point. The Dow Futures is trading at 23,266.50 up with +0.49% percent or +113.50 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,507.62 up with +0.51% percent or +12.62 point.  The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 6,351.00  up with +0.43%percent or +31.25 point.


The dollar index, a gauge of its value versus six major peers, fell by around 0.15 percent to 96.34, after losing 0.5 percent overnight.

Data also showed consumer confidence at its weakest in more than three years in the United States, as well as an unexpected drop in industrial profits in China, a stark reminder for investors of the deteriorating global growth outlook.
