Dollar Index Update on 25 May 2018


The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 93.87 up with +0.10%  percent or +0.09 point. The Dow Futures is trading at 24,870.00 up  with +0.27% percent or +67.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,734.00 up with +0.24% percent or +6.50 point.  The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 6,985.25 up with +0.40% percent or +28.00 point.


The yen stepped back from a two-week high against the dollar on Friday when North Korea said it was open to resolving issues with the United States after President Donald Trump called off a June summit with its leader, Kim Jong Un.

Although the yen and the safe-haven Swiss franc had gained on Thursday in response to heightened worries over global politics, traders were quick to lock in gains ahead of a long weekend in the United States and Britain.


U.S. market were lower on Thursday.For the day the Dow is trading at 24,811.76  with a loss of -0.30% percent or -75.05 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,727.76 with a loss of  -0.20% percent or -5.53 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,424.43  with a loss of -0.021% percent or  -1.53 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,628.22 up with +0.038% percent or +0.61 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 1,005.10 up with +0.043% percent or + 0.43 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,951.55 up with +0.052% percent or +1.02 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,197.68  with a loss of -0.31% percent or  -3.78 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,621.37  with a loss of -0.16% percent or  -2.63 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,513.57 with a loss of -0.18% percent or -2.71 point;
