Dollar Index Update on 15 May 2018


The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 92.73 up with +0.07%  percent or +0.06 point. The Dow Futures is trading at 24,841.00 with  a loss of -0.18% percent or -45.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,726.00  with a loss of -0.18% percent or -5.00 point.  The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 6,959.25  with a loss of -0.21% percent or -14.75 point.


The dollar’s index versus a basket of six major peers rose about 0.1 percent to 92.647, pulling up from 92.243 on Monday, which was its lowest level since May 2.

The benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury yield edged up about 1 basis point in Asian trading to 3.001 percent, after rising 2 basis points on Monday.

 The benchmark yield was supported by signs of an easing in trade tensions between the United States and China after U.S. President Donald Trump pledged to help Chinese telecoms firm ZTE Corp, which has been penalized for violating U.S. sanctions with Iran.


U.S. market were higher on Monday.For the day the Dow is trading at 24,899.41 up with +0.27% percent or +68.24 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,730.13 up with +0.088% percent or +2.41 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,411.32 up with +0.11% percent or +8.43 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,600.34 with a loss of -0.40% percent or -6.45 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 982.13  with a loss of -0.48% percent or  -4.74 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,935.23 with a loss of -0.20% percent or -3.86  point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,202.06 up with +0.16% percent or  +1.93 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,619.40 up with +0.034% percent or +0.54 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,513.79 up with +0.070% percent or +1.06 point;
