Dollar Index Update on 08 May 2018


The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 93.01 up with +0.26%  percent or +0.24 point. The Dow Futures is trading at 24,243.00 with a loss of -0.24% percent or -58.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at 2,661.50 with a loss of -0.32% percent or -8.50 point.  The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 6,808.00 with a loss of -0.26% percent or -18.00 point.


The dollar hovered near a four-month high on Tuesday, continuing to draw support from higher Treasury yields and upbeat prospects for the U.S. economy, leaving its major rivals such as the euro struggling and others including the Argentine peso down sharply.

The market’s attention was on U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision about the future of an international nuclear agreement with Iran, which he has repeatedly threatened to withdraw from.


U.S. market were lower on Monday.For the day the Dow is trading at 24,357.32 up with +0.39% percent or +94.81 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,672.63  up with +0.35% percent or +9.21 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,265.21 up with +0.77% percent or  +55.60 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,578.95 up  with +0.85% percent or +13.34 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 966.49  up with +0.79% percent or  +7.57 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,907.92 up with +0.55% percent or +10.47   point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,174.26 up with +0.39% percent or +4.62 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,587.44 up with +0.42% percent or +6.68 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,483.10 up with +0.39% percent or +5.71 point;
