U.S INDEX MARKET

The U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 92.38  with a loss of -0.09%  percent or -0.09 point. The Dow Futures is trading at 24,036.00  with a loss of -0.15% percent or -35.00 point. The S&P 500 Futures is trading at  2,651.75  with a loss of -0.02% percent or -0.50 point.  The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 6,714.00 up with +0.33% percent or +22.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The dollar held near a four-month high against a basket of major currencies on Wednesday, buoyed by the outlook for a strong U.S. economy and rising yields amid signs of a slowdown elsewhere, especially in Europe.

The dollar’s index ticked down 0.1 percent in Asia after having gained 1 percent in the preceding two days. It rose to as high as 92.57 on Tuesday, its firmest since Jan. 10.

The index rose above its 200-day moving average for the first time in a year, triggering a wave of short-covering.
