The US Dollar Index are trading at 89.35 for up with +0.01% percent or +0.01 point. The cac 40 index are trading at 5,514.21 with a loss of -0.13% percent or -7.37 point . The DAX Index are trading at 13,299.76 with a loss of -0.18% percent or -24.63 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Index are trading at 3,630.36 with a loss of -0.35% percent or -12.68 point.
TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS
The dollar traded above a recent three-year low against a basket of major currencies on Tuesday, having drawn some support from a rise in U.S. bond yields as traders awaited a U.S. Federal Reserve policy meeting for fresh catalysts.
The dollar edged up 0.1 percent against a basket of six major currencies to 89.392, having pulled up from a low of around 88.43 set last week, its weakest level since December 2014.
Against the yen, the dollar eased 0.1 percent to 108.87 yen, giving back some of the gains made on Monday, when it rose 0.3 percent and pulled away Friday’s 108.28 yen, a level not seen since Sept. 11.
