Dollar Index Update on 31 October 2017


The US Dollar Index are trading at 94.64 for up with  +0.12% percent or +0.12  point. The cac 40 index are trading at 5,499.41 for up with +0.11% percent or  +5.79 point . The DAX Index are trading at 13,229.57 for up with +0.09% percent or +12.03 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Index are trading at 3,670.46 for up with +0.50% percent or +18.23 point


The dollar touched a one-week low versus the yen on Tuesday as investors turned cautious following news that investigators probing Russian interference in the U.S. election had charged President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager.

The yen showed limited reaction after the Bank of Japan kept its monetary policy steady on Tuesday as widely expected, even as it slightly cut its inflation forecast for the current fiscal year.

The dollar held steady at 113.17 yen, having slipped to as low as 112.97 yen in early Asian trade, its lowest level since Oct. 20.


U.S. market were lower on Monday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 23,348.74 with a loss of  –0.36% percent or –85.45 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,572.83  with a loss of –0.32% percent or  –8.24point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,698.96  with a loss of  –0.03% percent or –2.30 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,490.90 with a loss of -1.15% percent or -17.42 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 903.48  with a loss of –1.41% percent or –12.95 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,825.43 with a loss of –0.74% percent or  –13.69 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,136.75 with  a loss of –0.29% percent or –3.34 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,523.63 with a loss of  –0.41% percent or  –6.20 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,425.44  with a loss of  –0.34% percent or –4.91 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 23,348.74 with a loss of –0.36% percent or –85.45 point.
