TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS
The dollar largely consolidated its gains in downbeat Thursday action after hitting a one-month high, driven there by increasingly hawkish commentary from Federal Reserve speakers, which has lifted U.S. Treasury yields.
The dollar fell against its Japanese counterpart in suit with its broader move, but the outlook for the currency pair remained unclear amid a call for a snap national election in Japan.
