The US Dollar Index are trading at 97.07 with a loss of -0.05% percent or -0.05 point . The cac 40 index are trading at 5,311.71 for up with +0.92% percent or +48.40 point . The DAX Index are trading at 12,860.06 for up with +0.84% percent or +107.33 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Index are trading at 3,577.03 for up with +0.94% percent or +33.15 point.

TODAY’s FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a strong higher open on Monday, as investors awaited remarks from leading Federal Reserve officials, while keeping a close eye on news coming out of the political sphere.

Dow futures rose 67 points, while S&P and Nasdaq futures gained 6.25 points and 35.75 points, respectively.

With little economic data due out on Monday, market-watchers will be on the lookout for any key statements made by two Fed presidents, just days after the central bank decided to raise rates for the second time this year.

In the morning, New York Fed President William Dudley is set to meet with local business leaders at a roundtable breakfast meeting in Plattsburgh, while Chicago Fed President Charles Evans will be at the Money Marketeers of New York University on Monday evening, where he is expected to talk about current economic conditions and monetary policy.

U.S. market indexes were mixed on Monday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 21,384.28 for up with  +0.11% percent or +24.38 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,433.15 for up with  +0.03% percent or +0.69 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,151.76 with a loss of  –0.22% percent or –13.74 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,407.69 with a loss of -0.30% percent or  -4.19 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 852.69 with a loss of –0.50% percent or – 4.27 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,753.46 for up with +0.01% percent or +0.16 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,071.85  for up with +0.02% percent or +0.19 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,440.85 with a loss of -0.01% percent or -0.10 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,348.27 for up with  +0.01% percent or +0.16 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at 21,384.28 for up with  +0.11% percent or +24.38 point.
