The U.S.Dollar Index  is trading at 96.87 with  +0.17% percent or +0.16 point.The Dow Futures is trading at 33,706.10 with a loss of -0.55% percent or -186.50 point.The S&P 500 Futures is  trading at 4,344.20 with a loss of –0.68% percent or -29.60 point.The Nasdaq Futures is trading at 14,121.40 with a loss of -0.82% percent or -116.40 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The Canadian dollar strengthened against its U.S. counterpart on Wednesday but gave up much of its advance as rising Russia-Ukraine tensions weighed on investor sentiment.

The loonie was up 0.2% at 1.2740 to the greenback, or 78.49 U.S. cents, after earlier touching its strongest level since last Friday at 1.2683.
