US PRE MARKET

The US Dollar Index are trading at 97.42 for up with  +0.18% percent or  +0.18 point . The cac 40 index are trading at 5,322.45 for up with  +1.07% percent or +56.33 point . The DAX Index are trading at 12,836.96 for up with +0.81% percent or +103.55 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Index are trading at 3,579.64 for up  with  +1.01% percent or +35.96 point.

TODAY’s FACTORS AND EVENTS

U.S. stock index futures pointed to a higher open on Monday, as investors watched an uptick in oil prices carefully, while looking ahead to key data releases.

 Dow futures climbed 64 points, while S&P and Nasdaq futures rose 5.5 percent and 19 points, respectively.

Kicking off the week, Monday is set to bring two batches of data during trade: durable goods and the Dallas Fed manufacturing survey, due out at 8:30 a.m. ET and 10:30 a.m. ET respectively.

In the commodities space, oil prices posted slight gains on Monday, on the back of a weaker dollar, however, glut concerns continued to weigh on sentiment as U.S. drilling activity showed signs of rising.

On Monday, U.S. crude hovered around $43.13 at 6:59 a.m. ET, while Brent sat around $45.57.

Investors also kept an eye on financials after the Italian government agreed to spend billion to rescue two of the country’s banks. European bank stocks rose broadly, with the Stoxx Europe 600/Banks index advancing 1.4 percent. U.S. financials followed their European counterparts higher, with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund exchange-traded fund (XLF) advancing 0.3 percent in the premarket.

U.S. market indexes were mixed on Friday. For the day the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 21,394.76 with a loss of  –0.01% percent or –2.53 point. The S&P 500 closed at 2,438.30 for up with  +0.16% percent or  +3.80 point. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6,265.25 for up with +0.46% percent or +28.56 point.

Other leading market index closes included the small-cap Russell 2000 Index closed at 1,414.78 for up with +0.73% percent or +10.24 point; the S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 853.17 for up with +0.92% percent or +7.75 point; the S&P 400 Mid-Cap Index closed at 1,743.95 for up with +0.43% percent or +7.53 point; the S&P 100 Index closed at 1,075.43 for up with   +0.14% percent or +1.55 point; the Russell 3000 Index closed at 1,444.55 for up with +0.24% percent or  +3.46 point; the Russell 1000 Index closed at 1,351.39 for up with  +0.20% percent or +2.71 point; and the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index closed at21,394.76 with a loss of  –0.01% percent or –2.53 point.
